Pan & tilt mechanisms allow remote operators to control camera movements at the seafloor. NEPTUNE Regional Network pan & tilt mechanisms have typically been affixed beneath instrument platforms, where researchers examine biology and sediment features at close range. The compound camera units include the pan & tilt, camera, and fixed lights.
